September 10, 2020 – Search Engine Ad Phishing Scams
Please be aware of phishing scams on popular search engine websites. Scammers are increasingly setting up fake websites to look like reputable and legitimate financial institutions online banking websites in order to persuade individuals to reveal personal information, such as online banking passwords and credit card numbers. These scammers are gleaning users’ banking information in order to login to victims online accounts.

Never access your online banking through an online link, always visit securely through www.nelsoncu.com. Nelson & District Credit Union does not request banking information through advertisements or links. 

On your next visit to online banking with Nelson & District Credit Union, please set up for online mobile alerts. This is a great tool to inform you, via text or email, of all login, payment or etransfer details for some added peace of mind.

August 21, 2020 - Member Alert: Intermittent Interac Debit Chip-and-PIN card purchase declines
NDCU is aware an issue with specific terminals is causing members to receive declines when making a purchase with their MemberCard Debit Chip-and PIN card at certain merchants, including some automated fuel dispensers. It is important to note that this is not a card issue, but is an issue with specific terminals at the point-of-sale. The issue is not impacting all Debit Chip-and-PIN cardholders, all merchants, or all terminals. The Interac Debit systems are working normally for cardholders at non-impacted terminals, and affected cardholders can still use their Interac MemberCard Debit card to complete an eligible transaction. NDCU apologizes for any inconvenience.

May 1, 2020 – Reduced Hours of Operation for All NDCU Branches
The health and safety of our members, employees and communities are of utmost importance to us and are a key factor behind our decision-making as we proactively take precautions against the spread of COVID-19. As a result, we are limiting hours for walk-in traffic to 10:00 am to 2:00 pm*; but have employees responding to remote enquiries by phone, email or website between 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. See below and be aware that access can change at a moments notice and may not be immediately reflected as below.

          - Monday to Friday (walk-in 10 to 2; remote enquiries 9 to 4:30)
     East Shore Branch*
          - Tuesday to Friday (closed to walk-in but with branch support 10 to 2; remote enquiries 9 to 4:30)
          - Saturday (closed to walk-in but with branch support 10 to 2; remote enquiries 9 to 1:30)
     Rossland Branch
          - Monday to Friday (walk-in 10 to 2; remote enquiries 9 to 4:30)
