Kootenay Insurance Services Ltd. has been providing a full range of insurance and bonding facilities to the Nelson and surrounding region for over thirty years. The agency is a 1/3rd owned subsidiary of Nelson & District Credit Union, but operates as an independent company governed by the regulations of both FICOM and the BC Insurance Council. The agency is contracted with a wide variety of domestic insurance companies and in addition has access to the Lloyds market in London, and several large international insurers. Kootenay Insurance Services Ltd is well located in Nelson, with excellent parking and easy access. Our East Shore office is located in Crawford Bay at our East Shore community branch. Also, following a recent merger of our insurance agency with the insurance agencies of East Kootenay Community Credit Union and Kootenay Savings, members now have access to additional insurance services in Cranbrook and Trail.
