Rhythm Roper Competitive Skipping Society The organizations relationship with Nelson & District Credit Union and how the sponsorship has benefited the community:Nelson and District Credit Union has been instrumental in helping us achieve our goals. As our financial partner since 2004, they’ve enabled us to put on demonstrations and workshops to school groups throughout the West Kootenay region. Organization’s purpose or mission: Our mission is to promote the sport of rope skipping as a healthy, fun activity. We are dedicated to developing excellence in our sport through team work, self-discipline, positive youth development and competition. The Rhythm Ropers began as a Jump Rope for Heart team back in 1985 and started skipping competitively in 1997. Now, we compete at the provincial and national levels annually with the goal of qualifying for International level competitions, eg: World Championships, every 2 years. |
